A Selection of Our ProjectsDonate NowA “Utrecht” Water Pump in Run Ta EkIt all started with a message from a dear friend. She had been touched by the stories and impact of our projects. Inspired by this, she decided to ask for donations to support our next project for her upcoming 40th birthday. What an incredible gesture! The generous amount raised made a huge difference. We were able to install a water pump in the Cambodian village of Run Ta Ek, home to hundreds of families who were forced to leave their homes and settle around the Angkor temple area. For these families, no more long treks just to fetch a bucket of water, no more contaminated water from open sources—just clean, safe drinking water right in their village. ![]() Clean Water for Beautiful Phnom TbengWhen we hear heartbreaking stories from outside Siem Reap, we are eager to help there as well. While Phnom Tbeng is known for its impressive pagoda, popular among tourists, a few kilometers off the beaten path reveals a very different reality. In the Phnom Tbeng area, located in Cambodia’s Preah Vihear province, many people live in poverty. Most families rely on farming and gathering forest products to survive. When our local guide, Sopheak, asked us to assist with the construction of two wells for this community, we did not hesitate. Thanks to your support, two wells were built to provide clean water to the local population. Bicycles in Chong SpeanImagine 50 children eager to go to school but faced with a distance too far to walk. We found a solution: 25 shared bicycles, enabling these children to reach school for part of the day. Their joy was truly heartwarming! Emergency Aid in Phoum ThmeyPhoum Thmey is among the poorest communities in Cambodia. When disaster strikes and a family’s home becomes uninhabitable, there are simply no resources for repairs. The village chief reached out to our contact Sopheak with a heartfelt request: to repair the home of a family that had already faced many hardships. Naturally, we were eager to help. Water Filters in OrumeasIn the remote area of Orumeas, water scarcity was also a challenge. Here, we provided water filters to purify water from a nearby stream. These filters were made available at central locations in the village and at the local school. Schools Supporting SchoolsWhat could be more beautiful than a Dutch school funding a sustainable project for a Cambodian school? The Barbara School in Bunnik raised a wonderful amount through a lottery, which was used to purchase wooden school desks for a school in Chong Spean. |
